Benefits of participating:  

  • Connect with colleagues both in- and outside the Noyce scholars program for collaboration, professional development, and other support. 

  • Gain valuable insights into classroom implementation of research-based science teaching and learning. 

  • Maximize your experience at the conference by leveraging the experiences of peers and the resources and ideas they collect at the conference.

  • Earn a $400 stipend

  • Be eligible to apply for a $300 post-conference equipment grant


 

Expectations of participants:  

  • Register and attend the 2025 OSTA Conference on Science Education in Newport, OR, 10/11/2025 (you pay the registration fee for the conference and arrange your own travel and accommodations if needed. Some schools/districts have funds for this or your Noyce program may provide funds.) 

  • Attend two short (30-45 min) in-person networking sessions.  One will occur on Zoom near the beginning of the conference, the other will be in-person at the conference. 

  • Share some insights via a short survey after attending the conference. 

Eligibility: 

  • Pre-service or early-career Noyce Scholar Teachers who teach science or engineering 

The Deadline for this Event Registration is September 12, 2025. Note that OSTA registration is separate.
