Cybersecurity Education Workshop
-
Held on the University of Oregon campus in Eugene, our 5-day workshop introduces STEM teachers to foundational cybersecurity concepts, including data security, privacy, networks, ethics and protection of digital systems. The program utilizes the RING curriculum, a cybersecurity curriculum recognized by the National Security Agency.
The program is designed for teachers with little or no prior experience in cybersecurity. Sessions focus on building teacher understanding through guided exploration of cybersecurity topics and structured classroom activities drawn from the RING curriculum. Participants will engage with real-world cybersecurity examples and learn how to bring these concepts into their existing STEM courses.
This professional development offering builds on the work of the Nurturing Inclusive Cybersecurity Education (NICE) program at the University of Oregon.
